Oops

Well it definitively was Black Friday for someone....

Possibly the first if not crash,  at least fender scratcher for a LaFerrari.  I happened in Mantova according to our friend Robby.  You have to feel for the trucker.

...and now, a message from Fiorano

The Maranello symphony orchestra brings you the exhaust  stylings of the Ferrari 458 Monte Carlo and the Ferrari F70.    Monte Carlo is the rumored moniker for the "Scuderia" version of the 458  while the F70  will be the "Next Enzo"  top of the line, no holds barred insane red object of desire.

The Coming Hypercar Battle

Ferrari F70 tub
Lines have been drawn in the...tarmac. For the first time in history, the top dogs in the hypercar game will all be fielding hybrid contenders in one form or another.

You've seen the Mclaren P1 in Paris and probably wasted as much as I did playing with the clever phone app. The Porsche 918 is the most "leaked" prototype ever. The missing link has been the Ferrari F70, the successor to the Enzo.

Not a coincidence of course that Ferrari brought an F70 tub to the Paris Auto Show and released these two videos.

It is, after all, war!

Mille

1 comment:

Mille, one thousand.  One thousand horsepower, one thousand kilos, a thousand thousands of Euros.  The Mille concept has been around for a few years now but has Ferrari done it?

According to Auto magazine the new, yet to be named ne plus ultra from Maranello will use a KERS unit weighing 30 kg and with an output of 150 hp to boost the 6.2 liter V12 from 850 to 1000hp.

As for the target weight,   use of pre-preg carbon fiber, like on the F1 cars, should make it within reach.

If Ferrari comes anywhere close to the mark it will make owners of your various Paganis, Koenigssegs, Porsche 918s not to mention fantastically priced rebodied Lotus Exiges feel real silly!
