#DriverExcuses

"I had a big shunt"

Was the radio call from Sauber's Felipe Nasr after crashing his car on Casino Straight in Montreal during Saturday's practice session.

"The tires were way too cold"

Crashing while warming your tires happened more often than you'd think (just ask CG! ) and Nasr followed the prescribed procedure for all racing drivers: Always blame the car first.

...until you get busted that is which, in Felipe's case, was about 12 seconds later when everyone realized he was warming tires at speed with the DRS open.

Clearly, the tires were way too cold!
