| Ferrari F70 tub |
You've seen the Mclaren P1 in Paris and probably wasted as much as I did playing with the clever phone app. The Porsche 918 is the most "leaked" prototype ever. The missing link has been the Ferrari F70, the successor to the Enzo.
Not a coincidence of course that Ferrari brought an F70 tub to the Paris Auto Show and released these two videos.
It is, after all, war!
The 918 is a PR exercise but the P1 and F70 are legitimate performers. Can't wait for the inevitable shootouts between these 3 cars. Too bad Chris Harris is on Ferrari's black list.

DeleteYou could argue it is. Carbon tub and adaptive active suspension, everyday usability, class leading/equaling performance, unmatched build quality. I think the 458 is prettier but if I was actually in the market the specs of the 12C would be hard to ignore.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately none of that translated to real world results and almost everyone who what driven the car and written about it was left cold. You can't engineer soul apparently. because on paper the MP4 12C is more but I certainly would pick the 458 over it any time.
