"Jeremy Foley and his co-driver go off at Devils Playground at exactly the same spot Bobby Regester did last year. They weren't quite as lucky. Both were taken to the hospital but all I heard was that one of them had serious but not life-threatening injuries. I certainly hope it wasn't too serious."

As scary as the clip above is, at least there was nobody else around. Same cannot be said for the crash involving Paul Dallenbach's Gazillion horsepower Pike's Peak special which went straight off into the woods after the first few corners. It's a miracle nobody was hurt.

No kidding, maybe some of you remember a similar WRC crash, But that was a WRC spec cage not one in a modified street car. Luck played a part but the cage builder deserves a raise!
Paul Dallenbach was extremely lucky to survive as were a bunch of spectators standing on the outside(!) of a turn when his winged special knifed off track after the throttle hung and destroyed itself mowing down several trees. Dallenbach was life-flighted out but is apparently doing okay considering the magnitude of his crash. He tweeted how grateful he was that he didn't kill anyone.
Only idiots stand on the outside of a turn like that. Those bunch of morons would have no one but themselves to blame if they had gotten hit. The first idiot that gets killed there, or a line of them, is going to get the event shut down and it would be a damn shame for stupid people getting killed to put an end to that event.
Omg! Hope they recover! Need to see pics of the cars roll cage!
