New M3 (E92) Debuts at Geneva Auto Show

Those sounds you hear? Those are softly sobbing engineers, marketeers, and product planners in Stuttgart and Ingolstadt. Their nightmare won't be ending anytime soon.

The new BMW M3, based on the E92 3 Series platform has made its debut at the Geneva Auto Show in "concept" form. Those who remember the not-so-far-in-the-past launch of the E60 M5 will know that "concept" is apparently a Bavarian codeword that means "different mirrors und funny color."

The car appears pretty aggressive, sporting a CF roof a-la M6, and lightweight wheels and Michelin SportCups (are you kidding me?), and reports from the hall that it sounded ridiculous when driven in by Andy Priaulx.

No word yet on the curb weight, and honestly that's all the Axis of Oversteer cares about. So we'll keep you posted as more information becomes available.
