The problem is that in this price range... I think that everybody who has a P1 will buy a Laferrari and a 918 as well....And that's what I would do.... !!!!!
This is still "just" a hybrid. Kind of a "proof of concept" and a passing phase. I'd love to drive them, but own? Rather have a proper petrol car (458, koenigsegg, pagani, you name it) and add a Tesla Model S to the garage.
I am so so so sick of reviewer's incessantly rambling hyperbole about how fast these type of cars are during... This thing has a V12 that revs to 9500rpm. How about shutting up and giving us more than 3 seconds without a rant so we can actually enjoy you thrashing the life out of it. Other than that...love it. Still has more drama than a P1 and less clinical than a 918.
kudos to Ferrari for using electric power just to augment the engine, not as a fig leaf and getting around the power /displacement limits imposed by emission regulations (and reliability). No resorting to turbos like Mclaren or Pagani,
Honestly, the only reasons to buy a P1 are either you already have a laFerrari or you could not get on that list.
Damn. You're right. E power > turbo. Guess I'd have to go with an "old" Carrera GT or MacF1 to keep it pure then ;)
Or, shock horror! you don't like Ferrari's.
The P1 is the worst super car in the last the last twenty years. Its garbage. Its a car made for and driven by philistines. Its design is insulting. The shape of the car and lines on the car make no sense whatsoever. And as for the interior, why did McLaren jettison the idea of the third middle seat inside the car. The center driver perspective of the McLaren F1 was genius, it made the car unique, and McLaren did away with it with the P1. Why? This new generation of McLarens, specifically the 12C aren't holding their resale value nearly as well as a 458. LONG LIVE THE LAFERRARI!!! Enzo Ferrari would be proud. Bruce McLaren on the other hand would tell Ron and specifically Frank Stephenson to quite playing with themselves and get their shit together.
Meh, Unless you're referring to a Californie, nobody can HATE any of the current offerings from Maranello, they are all brilliant cars.
