Felipe looks much more calm when Fernando is driving then when they switch places, Nando looks worried!
Curious thing, Alonso uses his right to brake on the street car and is surprised to see Massa using his left.
Both guys seem genuinely impressed by the 458.
Massa is a SPECTACULAR driver, OK, maybe he benefits from warmer tires but man, that was a great lap.
(tx Masamune!)
awesome lap aside, I still want one of those "I'm faster than Massa" t-shirts
ReplyDeleteMasas's lines look better and more polished. Also Massa seem much more relax or disperse driver than Fernando. Is funny hear them joke about the reflex of pushing the KERS at the back straight.
ReplyDeleteIts cool to see Alonso's really aggressive steering inputs on a road car.
ReplyDeletealso they joke about the speed limiter at the pit stop entrance
ReplyDeleteThe faces Alonso makes while driving are hilarious!
ReplyDeleteLooks like he's got a stiff neck. There are videos on YT where they give rides, and you really see their strength, neither Alonso's or Massa's neck moves an inch, the jour no on board looks like a limp noodle
DeleteYeah, Alonso's neck probably has more muscle in it than my arms do! I meant no criticism, just that he looks funny when he's pushing. The frown on his face at various points was just funny to me. I wonder if he does that during the races?
DeleteOy vey! How tall is Massa anyway? Maybe Richard Mille, or the good folks at Pinifarina could design him a booster seat. The poor guy can barely see over the dash. Who knew the cherub faced Brazilian could still put in such a fanciful lap. He'll need many great laps this season if he hopes to have a cannoli's chance in hell of keeping his seat until Vettel shows up. Does anyone know if Massa or Alonso will be receiving a complimentary F70 (LaFerrari)? I would think Alonso would surely get a freebie.
ReplyDeleteThis is exactly how I drive this circuit in Forza, its cool to see them having a bit of fun.
ReplyDeleteReally cool to see them joking and laughing, but who wouldn't in their shoes. I wonder who was driving the #2 car ahead of Alonso? He/she also looked to be driving very hard.
ReplyDeleteI believe there was Pedro de la Rosa with Marc Gene
DeleteHA! I like how right before turn 10 Fernando points like "uh Felipe, corner coming up.." He's soo worried hahah
ReplyDeleteBeing a good driver does not necessarily make you a good passenger. Jensen Button has confessed to being a bad passenger on multiple occasions.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling Alanso was playing with the car a bit more. He seems to get up close to the car in front the back off and drive like a hoon. The middle finger at the end of the lap seems fitting. Not to take anything away from Massa it was a great show.
My favorite F1 driver in a street car video is this one of Button. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ilCS2V_QyI
The reason, this conversation:
Button presses of the stability off button.
AMG Instructor: No, Sport, please
Button: Off
AMG Instructor: No
Button: It's better < muffled >
AMG Instructor: Off it's completely off
Button: Yeah it's okay
AMG Instructor: Please don't drift and it's okay.
Button: < muffled>
AMG Instructor: Please don't drift.
Button: < points to self > F1 driver.
