Resistance is futile, all your pole are belong to RedBull.
All that remains, if you wanted to see the championship decided in Brazil, is to cheer for an alternator to fail or for Grosjean to attain low earth orbit into turn 1.
All that being said, as of 4:45 PM ET Webber and Schumacher are still under investigation, one for missing post qualifying weigh in and the other for impeding.

* Gap to quickest in Q1
** Gap to quickest in Q2
I wouldn't say he is a lone star, Lewis came very close, surprising close considering how the rest of the weekend had gone.
ReplyDeleteAll things considered I thought Lewis did a phenomenal job closing the gap in Q3, because Vettel was all by himself in Q2. I didn't think anyone would be within a half second of him when the checkered flag waved in Q3. Still getting tired of the Red Bull show, this will be my third season in a row hoping that next years RB chassis will fall short of the mark lol
ReplyDeleteYup, If Lewis really meant it when he said Alonso deserves the title, he's in a position to actually do something about it Sunday.
DeleteWebber just given a reprimand, no penalty.
ReplyDeleteNice to see that Pirelli really screwed the pooch. Like PDR was saying, if the RB8 is taking 5 laps to get heat into its tires then the other guys don't have a chance. What ever possessed them to bring the two hardest compounds to a new circuit with new asphalt and in November were temps are in the low 20's?
ReplyDeleteIndyphobia?
DeleteI called Lewis pulling out a last-lap pole on FB, with vettel and webber next in line, but I seriously thought Alonso would bring more to the fight - when even Massa had a better time in Q3 there's something seriously lacking in the Scuderia. I also called Kimi right up there, Grosjean showed me up but it just proves the Lotus(I really wish we weren't calling them Lotus but oh well) has got the setup to roll with the big boys.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course there are still mysterious reliability issues on the macca. Poor Jenson, guess he has some idea of how devastated Lewis was last outing. Given the occasional performance of the Mercedes and the letdowns (TWO breakdowns for Lewis from the lead this year, #facepalm) it's not much of a surprise LH took an out when he had the chance.
They're predicting a completely full crowd on hand today, tons of action in the pitlane and paddock, celebs all over the place, and this start should be vurry interesting. Got my coffee and breakfast going, gotta get some housework done before I can claim my slice of the sofa. Should be a good day!
