Harris drivers a silly car and a Volvo at the Nürburgring

Let's be realistic, one is a $250,000 garden trestle with wheels and the other is a a $400,000 VOLVO built in a shed so yes, you'd have to be mad. Glorious though.

  1. I always like Chris Harris' reviews. I love the fact that Noble went with a Volvo engine having raced an 850 in the past it's cool to see something different.

    Thanks for the post Axis!

PS Not sure if you guys heard, but the "Words Fastest Lotus" wrecked getting on the 101 freeway out here a couple days ago. Don't want to derail the post, but heres the link:

Thanks for all the videos guys!

  2. I would if I used facebook. I hope you guys thought it was as funny as I did! He clearly lost control of the car. I've lived in L.A. for 21 years and I've never heard of anyone being pit maneuvered by a total stranger.

If you've seen the guys youtube videos it's pretty easy to see he drives that car to about 30% of it's capabilities. Anyway, I hope you guys got a good laugh out of it!

    1. It was titled, "World's Fastest Lotus crashes, driver blames Porsche, internet fight ensues"... I think the general consensus from the comments was "asshat"!

  3. Calling the M600 a Volvo is a bit of a stretch. The engine was developed by Yamaha.

  4. Hi everyone and I have to agree with ZeGerman, I think that this joke of calling the Noble M600 a Volvo is quite annoying and uninformative.
Back to the topic I'd rather have the M600 since going to the shop with a full race helmet must get quite tiresome, especially in winter.

    1. A little hyperbole here and there can be fun. It's probably more insulting to call the Atom a garden trestle, haha.

For the pure adrenaline rush of the Atom I'd do a lot sillier things than wear a helmet every time I drove it. A wouldn't go as mental as a motorcyclist and dress up head to toe in leather though.

As for winter, I think I'd be too afraid to drive it if there was the slightest chance of a sprinkle.

  5. I love both of these cars, but my biggest thing with the Atom is God forbid you flip. I know it's really unlikely but man if you flip that thing your arms are going going gooooonnnnneeee. The atom with a closed canopy would be one baaaaad looking car.

I got to ride in a Noble M12 a long time ago around a short tight track and I remember being amazed at how it handled. They really are incredible cars. Nothing wrong with Volvo either. I raced an 850 for a long time so I always have love for anything Volvo.

If you made me choose between the two I really don't know which one I'd pick. I would imagine they're both so good to drive.

    1. Arm restraints exist for just that reason. I wear them at the track in my Seven but unfortunately they dont work so well on the street where you have to reach garage openers and toll gates

  6. Go ahead Harris! I own four Volvos right now. An S80, V70 T5, V70 GLT and an XC-90. EVERY one of the cars is good in the snow and the XC-90 excels in the heaviest of snowfall, even pulling my snowmobiles. I used to own Chevys before I became an ardent Euro-only owner, including a Tahoe. The only car that I owned that was better in the snow than my XC-90 was my Allroad Audi Quattro. And, that is because nothing beats the Quattro system. Not even the Volvo Haldex Traction systems. Volvo for life. thanks, @Varonica
