You can argue all you want about the Dodge Viper ACR-X being a road car or a race car and that some guy in a t-shirt did it in 6:55, whatever: 7 minutes and 3 seconds at the Nürburgring deserves a look. you got to love the downforce display!

Definitely a fast time. Very impressed with the composure the car. Interesting to see how much downforce contributes to lap times.
In my opinion the whole "we beat the Nurburgring record" is getting old. It's a no brainer if you add more power, subtract weight, add downforce, sticky tires, great setup, great driver you will end up with a fast lap time.
I love seeing special editions throw down top shelf times as much as the next man, but it's getting to a point where people are doing anything they can just to beat the last guy. All to sell "road" cars mind you.
I'd rather not see this get post go off the rails though so I'll conclude my post with:
Great video, great car (priced incredibly well too!), blinder of a lap time, awesome to see a downforce sensor on the car.

Thanks Axis!
Who did it in 6:55?
