Eau Rouge does not discriminate!
by
AC
From Alfa to Volvo everyone gets a chance to fail at Eau Rouge in the rain!
I imagine now that Spa is on GT5, so many more will go there convinced they can drive it "flat out" and keep local YouTubers busy. Interesting about this clip is the sheer variety seldom seen racers. When was the last time you saw spec Volvo 300s? What can you say about that Volvo PV racer?
Prototypes, legend clown cars, BMW Z4, lotus 7's...they all get a taste of that red water.

What is that old blue one? the PV?
ReplyDeleteEau Rouge, fun for both drivers and spectators alike!
ReplyDeleteThat PV sure had a tough time!
ReplyDeleteMakes you appreciate the way the big boys of F1 take Eau Rouge even more!
I can't find the appropriate reference but the eau rouge is the lower part of the circuit (where the river eau rouge flows. The top part where you have your vids is the Raidillon...
ReplyDeleteI've drifted there at 174kph, it's really fun! :)
Here is the reference. I updated the source of the name of the river! I used to play in it when i was a child - when i could go see the races 3 kms down the road from where i lived ;)

I guess it's the Eau Rouge-Radillon complex, either way, I get the feeling that if you go into the first wrong, you're not coming out right:)
ReplyDeleteGreat clip!
ReplyDeleteWow, good to see no big hits. I was worried for that guy rolling back across the track at the 3:15 mark.
ReplyDeleteScary indeed but no harsh consequences, looks safe ;)
ReplyDeletelove this clip.. almost as good as the classic nurburgring footage of spins you've posted before.
ReplyDeletelooked like saudi arabian drifting out there!
