You heard about it, of course, it's where you drive an ungodly amount of miles across the country over eight days, visiting various tracks where Time Trials, drag races, autocross, skidpad, are run for points. A motorhead classic that attracts the gamut of machines, from family cars to sick modified beasts all with one caveat, that they be "street legal" and that they use the same set of tires for the whole event.
OK, so what am I going to be driving? Allow me the pleasure to tease a little: let me say two things about the ride, it's the labor of love of a
Once you figure out what it is I'm sure you'll agree: what could possibly go wrong?
Here's the engine, care to guess what it is and what will be wrapped around it? Feel free to guess if it amuses you (no cheaters, you know who you are!) and we'll go through the whole build between here and the race...
I added another picture.. not much of a clue, I warn you :)

I ran across some of the participants on I-80 traveling home from school a few years ago. Needless to say we had a few fun races between toll booths. Met a few of them at a gas station good people and looks like you have a great car which will make it all the better
ReplyDeleteStill nearly convinced it's an e93 m3 and that's an s65.
ReplyDeleteE92*
ReplyDeleteGo get them AC! Good to see its a V8 and not a Turbo thingy. Long live N/A!!!
ReplyDeleteHmm....looks like a bike-based (i.e. 2 4cyl bike motors on a common crank) V8.
ReplyDeleteYamaha 2L V8? Suzuki 2.6L V8?
I hope you are going to stuff that thing in an E30
ReplyDeleteGood luck from the 'Ring AC... I'm baffled as to what you're co-piloting tho'
ReplyDeleteThanks Dale... well, it's not stock and I'm not sure it would pass TÜV either :)
ReplyDeleteHave you seen topspeed/leh keens car for this year yet?
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for South Bend!
ReplyDelete@Will, I heard about it, they'll win of course :)
ReplyDeleteBest of luck AC! Unleash the fury!

It's a BWM S62..
ReplyDelete-Fabrik8
