The right balance

997 GT3Rs with our new CR shocks

A little film by Swedish shock masters Öhlins, featuring our friend Ron Simons from RSR Nürburg. Ron makes it clear why car companies test on that track, the perfect place to work out a very difficult compromise for chassis engineers. Have a look.

(those struts and shocks look fantastic, don't they?)

  1. I've had Ohlins LMJ series dampers on my Audi S4 for 4 years now and they're absolutely incredible. Comfortable enough to daily drive, and an absolute joy at the track. The ability to run very high spring rates with them without killing the ride (it's better than stock when the dampers are dialed down to street levels) was the biggest selling point for me - especially in a nose-heavy car like the S4, where bigger spring rates in the rear can help tons to manage understeer. Completely worth the price.

  2. Ohlins Coilovers are sacred her in the U.S. They are so well respected and revered, yet they are not very common at all. Some of my favorite racecars rock Ohlins and the GT3 above is gorgous!
