You have to be pretty extreme about driving purity to drive even a caterham or an ariel atom, but a Radical is like another notch above that. I agree with AC it could hardly be considered a street car.
The Radical was driven to the Ring from Radical HQ when it set the record...
Not that that matters, the point is for the price of the GT2RS you could have an SR8 and a nice used RS4/6 wagon to tow it home with. These hugely expensive supercars like the GT2RS are totally outdated. They offer half the thrills of something like the Radical (or even a fast Caterham) on a track and are compromised in practicality and never reach anything like their performance capability on the road.
In my opinion you'd have to be an idiot to own one.
Then call me an idiot. If I had the means, I'd own one in a heart beat. The problem with ownership that the owners are hard pressed to "blame the car" for their own driving deficiencies. THe brits are good a creating excuses.
See, you COULD buy a dedicated track car and tow it everywhere and have a great time driving on track, BUT, i'd much much much rather have a car that i can drive every day, drive to the track, haul around the track with minor modifications (Tires and Pads) and then trundle back home in it.
Porsche encompasses that perfectly.
Mind you, i'm not hating on track only cars, but right now, i'd much rather have a car that can do everything incredibly well instead of a Black and White kind of deal.
