The Ferrari 599 GTB Hybrid Concept is getting all sorts of grief from "enthusiast" web sites but actually, though it gains some 220 lbs, (making it weigh about as much as much as a BMW M6) the weight is distributed so that it maintains very close to the same distribution as on the standard car and presumably similar handling.
It also gains 100HP and 110 lb-ft of torque which added to the standard 620 hp/ 448 lb-ft make for a better power to weight ratio than the one not painted like Kermit.
Still, a 4000 lbs Ferrari?

Any power increase that only costs 2.2 lbs/hp is definitely worth it. Especially if it doesn't use any extra fuel!
