The Hits of 2009

Once again the best highlight clips come from fans across the globe. This one is from Australia.
Apologies in advance for the soundtrack...it will get on your nerves and likely get stuck in your head for weeks, Merry Christmas!

  1. hmmm. just wondering what the most expensive wreck of '09 was... it was probably in F1, but those GP2 pileups didnt look cheap either.

  2. Ouch.... is my reaction to the awful soundtrack. But still a good little compilation including a bunch of things I hadn't seen during the year.

  3. Those two crashes coming out of the outer loop at Watkins Glen were nasty! yikes

  4. I've actually downloaded this song to my ipod so I can be irritated in my car as well!

  5. Something is missing... oh yeah, it's the last-lap crash between Magnessen and Bergmeister at ALMS Laguna Seca.

  7. @Freep: Def missing the Laguna crash! There was also that crash involving a certain Ferrari driver as well...

I think the Acura LMP car balling it up outside of T3 at Road Atlanta is the worst. Or looked the worst anyway.

Favorite was Buemi (was it Buemi?) hitting the foam blocks on the inside at the Spoon at Suzuka!

  8. Freep - crash or attack at Laguna Sec?

  9. Lol @ Murph - the same thing happens on the NJ Turnpike and the idiots on the radio call it an "accident." So I guess the moral of the story is that you can call it whatever you like but the outcome is the same.

@ AlexMc - I agree the Scott Sharp crash was the worst. The car wasn't so much balled up as it was shortened by the energy of the crash.

  10. Ha! I guess that explains all those mysterious overturned car "accidents" you hear about on trafffic reports....

  11. @Freep - I suppose "balling it up" isn't so relevant in a car that contains maybe 5% ferrous metal.
