  1. When you use water to cool the brakes, you know your driving something too heavy too fast! I want to drive one.

  2. I'm just amazed by how well those monsters turn in!! What are those tires made of? How long do they last? (3 laps!??)

  4. I'd make a NASCAR car on a road course joke about water cooled brakes and too heavy but WRC cars also use watercooled brakes. They let the big trucks up Pikes Peak wich is pretty nutty!

  5. Kevin, did you actually drive one of those monsters?

  6. Amazing. Must do a number on the track surface though. Imagine if someone showed up to an HPDE with one of those? I think I know who would do it.

  7. @AC - Sadly, no. I was invited and slated to drive one as an exhibition at Road America in 2004. I traveled from Seattle to RA to find that one of the rigs - under the guidance of David Murry - had essentially burned to the ground on the Saturday. With only one other rig on-site, my Sunday drive was cancelled due to the uncertainty(at the time)of what exactly happened. I was saddened to say the least! [http://j.mp/2jJFXb]
