Hamilton: "I am as good as Senna".

I wonder why we did not see this on any UK web site?

Sport.de claims that in talking to journalists before the Japanese GP, Lewis Hamilton proclaimed:

"I know I am as good as Ayrton Senna" apparently stunning even seasoned British journalists present (though presumably not Peter Windsor) "don't you know I'm the best?"

"I can tell immediately where the line with the most grip is". Mocking Massa he added that being good on a wet track is not automatic for Brazilians and that Felipe in such conditions "cannot find the limit"...

  1. God please, please, give Felipe some luck during the rest of the championsip so he can give this kid a life lesson.

  2. Senna was an incredible driver, one of the best. Look at what happened to him - Lewis better be careful pushing his own thresholds. You'd think that of all the things McLaren and Ron Dennis have taught him over the years, one of them would be respect.

  4. May God infuse Felippe Massa with the spirit of Senna and smoke this arrogant snot and snatch the WDC. May LH get torpedoed by a Kimi in the first turn of the next 2 races.

  5. what's funny is I don't know anyone who likes Lewis Hamilton. I know people who respect his potential talent as a possible world champion, I do respect his talent too, but nobody who follows him as an avid fan. His attitude/arrogance coupled with his stupid mistakes such as running to Kimi in the pit lane makes him a poor choice for drivers to follow.

  6. Kubica was pretty direct about Hamilton's driving in Monza. Hamilton shot back that Kubica is just bitter because he's slower....

  10. No one can possibly say that, hamilton at the least, he has had it handed to him on a plate, if he wins in a super aguri equivalent in monaco i will possibly think, but even then he could only be a runner up.

  11. Honestly... What is this guy thinking, words can only prove so much, actions and victories tell the rest, this guy is not even half as good as Ayrton Senna, he first should try and beat Button... this d*ck will never be as good as M. Schumaer or Ayrton Senna.

  12. Im a fan of Lewis, he is simply an amazing driver, all 3 of his seasons in f1 so far have been seriously impressive I dont think many people would argue with that!
He is error prone from time to time tho, and silly errors too offen as not, a la Canada 08, but then there are mistakes like Monza 09 which look silly, but credit where its due, 6 points want enough and he pushed like hell to get P2 even tho it was realistically out of reach, and he crashed on paper its a bad mistake but shows he is a racer thru and thru, which is great :)

Just a shame he says dumb things to the media sometimes :(
