I'm not sure if I buy that "it's not my fault, the diffuser stalled story" for one thing after having watched the whole race from an onboard feed, too many drivers hit that same curb without spinning...
OK, I'm now ready to cut Felipe some slack, I'm feeling sorry for him...a little. Let's see how he does in the next few races.
I mean he's fast but I think he has a weak mental game, he always seems like he has a chip on his shoulder and I have not seen him do especially well under psychological pressure.
I really hate that a simple spin can end a racer's day so quickly with no chance for rejoining the race.

He is ultra quick, but not consistent enough.
ReplyDeleteHe is staring to look like the best 3rd driver unfortunately.
still think something bust. snapped to quick to be error.
ReplyDeleteThere looks to be slight dip at the apex of that corner and he was just winding on too much throttle IMO.
ReplyDeleteMassa out Vettel in !
The reason was not throttle, but when he hit the kerb of the previous turn, he stalled the diffuser and rear wing so lost his rear downfore.
ReplyDeleteThat stays a bit his fault but the problem is more inherent to the F2008 (and was also there on F2007)
if he lost his rear downforce he would have spun much sooner. he had massive understeer after he landed, then it just snapped.

ReplyDeleteAgreed. Probably 100rpm too much.
ReplyDelete"ambition got the better of adhesion"
ReplyDeletetough luck for massa.. not a championship winning performance.
Can't wait to see
ReplyDeletemassa- traction control + rain = shunt
