Rally Deutschland is tarmac but also gravel. There is a moment there at 2:26... have a look. The way that Suzuki Skoda shoot up the tiny side road (can you call that a road?) is just buckets full of awesome!

Nasty crash for Gigi Galli at Rally Germany

Galli broke a femur and will be out for the rest of the season. Just in case you forgot how dangerous driving at 100mph inches from trees actually is take a look at the on-board from Gigi's car.

Consider that a WRC car will require something in the order of 2500 man hours to build the cage and reinforce the chassis then take a look at the angle of the steering column after the impact. Galli likely owes his life to those cage builders.

Muddy Rally

WRC Rally Germany this week end....again no love for us WRC fans here in the US.

Couple of quick clips, in the first Sebastian Loeb discusses driving on the muddy narrow stages and offers pearls of wisdom such as "...you have to have good notes..." "..mud is slippery.." and "...you have to slow down.." OK Seb, we wanted to hear more about you left foot braking technique but, nice to hear from you.

In the second clip Marcus Gronholm tells it like it is, Seb does his usual gallic shrugging and there are some cool shots of BF Goodrich tire techs hand cutting tires...
