This is not boring...

11 comments:

Some readers seemingly got a bit bent out of shape when I said F1 bores me at times. What I had in mind is best illustrated with this video from the very, very wet start of the inaugural Porsche Carrera World Cup at the Nürburgring, the same week end as the Nürburgring 24 Hours and the Valencia GP

You are riding with 25 year old British Porsche Supercup star Sean Edwards in the Team Abu Dhabi Gt3.. You will notice, there was no safety car start for this race as there was for the far less wet start of the Montreal race....

After the jump, have a look at a video from the N24. This time you are riding with Sergio "Sergini" Negroni in a 3.6 GT3 Cup. Despite being in the same class as the overall winnner and competing with 3.8 GT3 cups like the one Chris Harris was driving, (and losing their driving lights...)Sergio and his mates managed a 6th in class and 38th overall.

Porsche Carrera World Cup Videos

Raining cats and dogs at the Nürburgring for the 2011 Porsche Carrera World Cup, the ultimate Cup race with drivers invited from all the various series around the world. Not much of a surprise though that the top drivers were those competing in the top tier Supercup dominated the 6 lap race. Rene Rast was first followed by Norbert Siedler and Lance David Arnold.
The leaders were well on the way to the podium when the tailenders crossed the line some 11 minutes after the leaders!

Epic Nürburgring week end: Carrera World Cup and N24

1 comment:

Porsche Carrera World Cup, the "creme de la creme" of Porker drivers from around the world fighting it out on the Nürburgring, awesome. Porsche is providing an internet feed HERE

Of course there is the ADAC 24 HR Rennen. Ferrari was on pole in after the first practice with the Farnbacher Hankook 458. Porsche again is providing some coverage at the link above but also the N24 official site has continuos live stream and timing and scoring HERE.

That may of may not include the historic "Youngtimer" race.

Wish I had the time to watch it all, but perhaps you can help collect some cool videos here and there and I can put together a collection after the week end!

Have fun!
