Here is Maximilian Werner driving the Ferrari 250 GT SWB Breadvan to the top qualifying spot in the 2 seater 1960/61 class at the 2013 Oldtimer Grand Prix on the Nürburgring GP circuit last week.

Breadvan

The sound is missing in the post about the California GTOs but, it would be pretty much like this one, from the 250 Drogo Coupe. The famous Breadvan was actually not a GTO but a Drogo designed body for a 250 SWB with better Cx than the GTO. Giotto Bizzarrini also moved the engine further back and lower.

Sort a recurring theme with Ferrari, in 1962 Enzo refused to sell Giovanni Volpi a GTO for the 24 Hours of LeMans because the venetian count had financed ATS so Volpi went out and built a better version. This car was built in 14 days, which makes me wonder why my car has been in the shop for 2 months....
