Car crashes happen every day but when one of only 39 Ferrari 250 GTO is involved in a serious then it becomes news.

Apparently the GTO was making a left turn just as a car following it was trying to pass it. There is no word on the condition of the Ferrari which will without a doubt, be rebuilt.
The 3445 GTO, which was to take part in the "Le Mans Classique" is no stranger to accidents having crashed a number of times and rebuilt. It was once owned by Count Giovanni Volpi and over the years seen the likes of Nino Vaccarella, Chris Amon and David Piper behind its Nardi wheel.

Prayers for Chris and Ann...
ReplyDeletePrayers for Chris and Ann...
ReplyDeleteIt's a shame, but I'd rather see a car damaged whilst being used than rotting away, kept locked up in some garage.
ReplyDeleteSo sad, thinking of Chris and Ann, they are wonderful people
DeleteI am hoping Chris and his wife recover fully and the lack of details being reported isn't as ominous as it sounds.
ReplyDeleteI just read, on Pistonheads, I think, that it was Mrs Cox driving and she's hurt but just a few broken bones, nothing life threatening.. And the car, well , restoration IS a hobby right :)
DeleteI can't find the info you're referencing on Pistonheads. Please post the link. Thank you.
