Pretty neat. I experimented with this about a year ago. In this video they are playing 2d animations that that are masked to the car.
What i did was scan a BMW X6 and animated it in 3D. The 3D animation is then projected onto the car. Check out some of my mockups and experiments at www.ABLAZEwalls.com
