Watch as CG explores innovative ways to enter pit lane in stylish and unforgettable fashion today at Road Atlanta, during IMSA GT3 Challenge practice.
Turn 12 at Road Atlanta, a blind, 120 mph downhill right, is arguable the hardest, scariest turn in all of North America.
Go big or go home!
.
Wowzers! Code brown is an understatement, CG got very lucky.

ReplyDeleteIt works fine on the iPad and iPhone...
ReplyDeleteWhen you were shifting in the turn the wheel stayed open and Zip off you go.
ReplyDeleteDoes This defy the laws of physics or is it me who doesn't understand?
ReplyDeleteYeah that crest really unloads you going over the hill under the bridge, you have to keep right to catch the little bit of banking there, sometimes its a suprise how much the car unloads, reduces grip and throws you over to the left onto those curbs.
ReplyDeleteHappens in iRacing all the time ;)
Track datalogging software needs a new graphic. Sphincter clench.
ReplyDeleteHe didn't get to turn 12...
ReplyDeleteThat's 11
ReplyDelete"I *meant* to do that...!" ;)
ReplyDeleteTurn 12 is a piece of cake. Especially with aero. Turn 1 is the most difficult to master. There is a ton of speed that can be had there.
ReplyDeleteHe needs to stay way further to the right. Like a lane and a half. With my slow car I go almost fully track right to shorten the line to 12 since I'm still flat. The bumps under the bridge get bigger over there but at least there is grip to keep the car on the track. He was way off on approach before the bridge, you need to be at least under the colored tiles on the bridge.
ReplyDeleteThat was quite a video. What a safe landing.
ReplyDeleteI'm planning to be at the big race on Saturday - are there other Axis people out?
trying new lines?
ReplyDeleteYes, staying undr the co,or tiles is the right line for the Cup Cars. BEing the 1st session was just stupidily trying to try other stuff and see if i could land with a wider entry into T 12. Obviously, not trying anything like that anytime soon.
ReplyDeleteIm usually not this lucky, as in the past i rarely go off and when it happened it was abig damage. here, i used all the luck i have saved over all tis years!!
