Magnum P.I. Alert!: Ferrari 458 GTS

3622

Get your mustache and hawaiian shirt ready if this targa topped variant turns out to be true. The rumor is that Ferrari will opt for a removable hardtop (or as some suggested, a Superamerica like flip top) so as not to compete with the hard top convertible California, a car not in the Maranello lineup when the 430 Spyder was for sale.

The last GTS was the 355 and before that of course Ferrari went "targa" with the 308 and the Dino 246 GTS.

  3. Apparently a 599 roadster is planned as well. It was shown to only a few guests at the Pebble Beach Concours and has the same engine in the GTO

  5. So, how about that world wide recall.

  6. Well, you know what, after the Toyota recall fiasco, where it turned out it was 100% stupid owner related, I will tread lightly on recalls. That the car would go through all the testing and miss something like glue overheating seems fairly ludicrous. Remember who the average Ferrari owner is... In any case, you want something reliable, buy a Porsche. You want something exciting buy a Ferrari, you'll never know what might happen when you turn the key! :)

  7. Anyway, whatever happens, not having a roof will make an escape really easier...
