Ahhh, the sexy European. Brings back real memories. A '72 Mercury Capri was my first car. Modified it in all sorts of cheap 20 year old wannabe racer ways. Probably went slower after the mods then before. Fell victim to the dreaded soft cam problem common to the German SOHC 2 liter motor and just kept losing power over its entire tortured life.
some of the later 6 cylinders iirc had a timing gear problems that also resulted in slow loss of power. change out the worn gear and *boom* your back in buisness -spenc
is that a live axle at the back?
