The straight line speed of the GT3 is pretty damn close to the Viper as can be seen when they are on the long straight, it's just the Viper gets there faster. The GT3 driver had better luck with traffic on that lap
Great find indeed! Talk about being right on someone's ass for a whole lap :)... Seems to me that it's extremely hard to pass someone on the northern loop if the two cars are pretty even in performance. Also looks like the outside line in the Karussel was the better option
GODDAAAAM!... now thats close racing, although if the Viper were to be in front of the GT3 it would be a completetly diferent story, there no way that porsche would've stick to the viper like that
Yes but he was obvious just as fast if not faster then the GT3 in the corners but he still wouldn't yield. There were a couple moves in that video you could consider a block, which at the ring going 130-150mph down a straight isn't really a cool thing to do.
And after the move he pulled at @ 4:50 I would have sent him into the gravel trap :P
wow. how did that gt3 driver ever outbrake the viper?
ReplyDeleteGT3 driver was a dick! Seriously, when someone is 20mph faster in a straight line, get out of the way!
ReplyDeletedisagree, anyone can be fast in the straights, it's the turns that make the driver! :)

ReplyDeleteHey Anonymous, this is a race not a HPDE. The GT3 has no reason to give up position unless a pass is made.

GT3 obviously could've used more downforce. He actually passed the Viper on the straight but wasn't fast enough anywhere else.
