Track for a Cause

Make your track day count:

Hooked on Driving is dedicating its Northeast Region Season Opener, April 29-30 2009 at Watkins Glen to the Hope for Javier Foundation.

Hope for Javier is a nonprofit charitable organization that was founded in 2007 by a Hooked On Driving staff member shortly after his son, Javier, was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD). DMD is a fatal muscle wasting disease that steals a young boy's mobility, typically between the ages of seven to eleven. Life expectancy is late teens to early twenties. Hope for Javier directs money into the hands of researchers who are hard at work at finding a treatment or cure for DMD with the hope that it comes in time to save Javier.

In addition to the exciting high performance driving and daily lunches Hooked on Driving is holding a sponsored dinner Wednesday night (no charge for registered drivers) at which blind auctions for numerous items will be featured.

All proceeds and donations are going directly to the Hope for Javier Foundation. Additional details to follow in upcoming newsletters. What a great opportunity to attend the first class HPDE program at the premier track in the east AND support a very worthwhile cause.
