At their Geneva press conference Ferrari stated, for the first time ever, their intention to set Nürburgring lap records. I was surprised, not just by the announcement itself, but
by how it has been totally ignored.
Certainly, Maranello's plans for 'ring domination were met with skepticism in the Grüne Hölle parking lot where Ferraris are generally regarded either as moving chicanes on the track or, more commonly, as something taking up valuable parking spots.
