Finnish Humor: Kimi vs Scuderia

  1. I like Kimi, especially how dismissive he is about one of the supposed best cars to come out of Ferrari in a while. He's definitely a guy that doesn't care.

  2. It's abundantly clear that Kimi wasn't hired for his ability to promote product or thank sponsors. Could you imagine anyone from NASCRASH (except Ricki Bobbie, "with all due respect") giving an interview like that.

  3. The way he plays around with the Ferrari and just smiles when he nearly loses it - lol!

I suppose why he's so dismissive is because nothing compares to driving an F1 car. He probably doesn't even care about the Bugatti Veyron lol

  4. By the way, I like this site, great stuff - seen it since a few months ago but only joined in yesterday!

Also, Kimi is participating in the Artic Lapland Rally this month (more info about it on my site!)

  5. So Kimi how was the first time you drove a Ferrari?

"...it wasn't that impressive..but of course it was fantastic.."

Should blood alcohol limit be lowered? "er...yes...maybe"

This might be one of the greatest interviews of all time! A+ for both!

  6. Is it just me or does Kimi kinda come through as a bit of rude person (not to use a stronger term) that does not really give a shit.

Of course if you are used to driving a race car, any kind of road car won't be that impressive but isn't it part of your job as a professional driver for a manufacturer to promote the company when talking about its products with a journalist?

  7. Well, to put it in perspective, go watch the Top Gear review of the Aston Vanquish vs. the Ferrari 575M. Damon Hill helps Jezza with the piece and Hill is somewhat dismissive of both cars. He also notes that, next to an F1 car, nothing really compares but that they're fast for road cars. Just food for thought...there's a reason the Stig doesn't talk after all.

  8. Kimi isn't rude, he's just a normal finn. Anyway I don't think that Ferrari sells a lot of cars in Finland.

  9. i don't see how he's dismissive... he said he was one of the best cars he's driven on track! besides, the interviewer can't seem to help himself from asking droll questions... the guy drives F1 cars for goodness sake

  10. Hehe, that video reminds me of Formula Student Italy last year on the Fiorano track when just that helicopter with di Montezemolo on board flew in as well. He actually drove one of the cars (without any drivers clothes or helmet, but the heck with it!)
