No School like the Old School

Do you ever tire of sideways driving at the Nürburgring?    In this old clip what might or might not be a Ruf displays the classic 911 handling attitude.     I cannot believe the driver misses a gear, stays in neutral coming up from the Fuchsröhre and lives!

Finding some service trucks after almost nailing the outside guard rail just past Pflantzgarten must have been quite a clenching moment as well.

8:02 is still a respectable time though these days many production cars regularly clock in sub 8 minute laps.

Sit back and enjoy the slide show

  1. Incredible smoothness and calmness displayed by this more than 60-year old japanese driver Motoharu Kurosawa. And some complain about how the Best Motoring guys handle the Porsches??

  2. Is Motoharu an actual Best Motoring driver? If so, this only proves how much they sandbag cars on the show. I agree, THIS is a great performance.

  3. Motoharu was not in that other video, those were much younger guys. I believe they were Tirah Misu along with that ace, Noshifto Sogudoh.

  4. Yes, Motorharu is an actual Best Motoring driver. If there's a best motoring test with an NSX or NSX-R, chances are he's usually the pilot.

From what I've heard, he owns a Carrera GT.

  5. Well someone should tell him to drive every car as well as he drives the NSX/R (and of course that Porsche).
