Lewis Hamilton crashes Zonda in Monaco, unhappy with car spotters.

Lewis Hamilton was involved in a traffic accident on Monday in his adoptive home of Monaco.    Hamilton was driving his purple, one off, manual transmission Pagani Zonda LH when he collided with a parked car.

Team LH took to Instagram to say he had been running a bit of a fever (he was probably driving to the all night pharmacy for some aspirin?) and to accuse people of wanting to "take advantage and make a quick buck".

Dear TeamLH, just wanted to let you know why things have been quiet on social media the past few days. I’ve not been well with a fever but I also had a road accident in Monaco on Monday night. Whilst ultimately, it is nobody's business, there are people knowing my position that will try to take advantage of the situation and make a quick buck. NO problem. Nobody was hurt, which is the most important thing. But the car was obviously damaged and I made very light contact with a stationary vehicle. Talking with the team and my doctor, we decided together that it was best for me to rest at home and leave a day later. But i am feeling better and am currently boarding the plane to Brazil. However, I am informing you because I feel we all must take responsibility for our actions. Mistakes happen to us all but what's important is that we learn from them and grow. Can't wait for the weekend Brazil🙌🏾 Bless Lewis

These things happen but then there are those ubiquitous, pesky car spotters all over the principality so we learned that it was 3:30 in the morning and the crash happened by the Fairmont hotel, which is also near the exit of  Monaco's  top night clubs, Buddha Bar.

You can put two and two together,    I'm guessing Jalopnik already has a bounty on that video!

The Zonda is off to the the bodyshop and Hamilton is off to Brazil,  No problem.... been there done that.
Cheers!
