Nice! And it looks like that proud new LaFerrari owner is probably in Monaco driving the track route of the Monaco GP. From the angle of the two pics shown above it looks like he's just exited Mirabeau and just about ready to enter the Loews Hairpin. He's probably on his way to throttle the engine thru the tunnel. Role the Ode To Joy, or the Anvil of Crom Conan Theme....or just listen to the engine!!!!
Those side mirrors are fugly, i like the rear and side of the car, but there is something missing in the front(and no i don't mean the front plate!). I think the Porsche 918 is more class, and the McLaren P1 looks more futuristic. This is somewhere in the middle. Let's wait for the Nurb-ringtime battle, but the 918 will still look modern in 10 years, like the Carrera GT now. The others will not age that well, like the Enzo. This is a personal oppinion.
I'm guessing these cars have mirrors because regulations forbid using cameras which would make much more sense. The mirrors on LaFerrari are no more silly than the ones on the Pagani Zonda and Huayrrrrrrrrrrrmmmnnd. Ferrari gets extra bonus points for producing a car which does not need an ugly wing
I find that the ones on the Huayra at least have a special shape, on Laferrari they look like the one's from a Punto, but i do agree about the rear wing ;)
I like that Ferrari took some chances with the design -- it looks like a racing car for the street, which (to me) is what an exotic should be. Pity about the mirrors and the name, though. I'm not a huge high-tech fan but cameras would be so much better -- there'd be a learning curve but I suspect most drivers would master them within an hour or two. Would love to have an ipad size display at eye level that could easily switch between rear-view, backup and curb feeler cameras -- not that many La Ferrari owners would be parking on the street...
