At first glance I saw a lot of styling cues that reminded me of new Ferrari models, esp. around the hood and grille. Honestly though, the primary ideals behind the original Viper are impractical to implement in today's supercar design wars. Seems like nobody wants a billion horsepower without a supercomputers' worth of electronic modulation throughout the drivetrain. We'll see how this new iteration sells. Oh, and Hennessey. That's always lunacy worth waiting for.Jeffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06377485419266946844noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17940643.post-22587857679766350332012-04-04T23:24:23.230-04:002012-04-04T23:24:23.230-04:00Is this really the new Viper? It looks like a tuner version of the previous generation with new hood, spoiler, exhaust and back end.
The Alfa/Viper Zagato TZ3 Stradale looked sexier and more original. I find it hard to believe that this car has been around for 18 years, and that this is the 5th Generation Viper. Part of me says this Viper is the most gorgeous Viper ever made. However, part of me says its design is the softest of all Vipers. Looking around on Autoweek's website, I also saw the racing-spec Viper. That Viper is far from the good old Oreca Vipers of the late 1990s and early 2000s.

I don't know... I like the new Viper.

johnbmarine.blogspot.comJohn B. Is further info available? Is it still set up as 100% anti-squat and anti-dive?Tristanhttp://race2play.com/home/roadbeefnoreply@blogger.com
