"...Surprisingly few people are seriously hurt..."

This clip from a History of Motor racing documentary made me chuckle: they show all these fairly horrific accidents but the constant refrain is "surprisingly no one was seriously injured" ...define seriously!

    How was the guy on fire not seriously hurt? Or the guy kicked into the air by the back-end of his rolling car!?

    Nobody was seriously hurt because they were killed instead...
